Decay of Hollow Lights
Tik... Tik... Tik......... Tik.........
All is still in the land below.
Lights dim and fade ever so slow.
The pool of gravity — like a strange, cold embrace.
Blacker than the deepest depths doth this void grow from it.
The collapse of my being — so fast... and slow.
Fracturing. Spilling. Fading from mortal minds.
I've watched you for centuries flitting about,
as if your lives were to mean something to others.
Trying to make yourselves worth something —
while forgetting in the process.
I am yet another god you have forgotten.
But I do not hate you.
I pity your small lives...
So short and coy.
Yet so big and beautiful when done right.
I pity how you whittle yourselves away to nothing
for others’ eyes.
My cosmos still flickers —
burning, collapsing, encasing, surrounding, drowning... rebirth.
I shall be formed anew.
Waiting...
Watching...
Aweing.
Make your life your own...
Devote to yourself — and I shall live on.
