Nine Tailed Sphinx

She sits above, watching and moving, always aware.
Oh, how you stroke her, love her, and yet run in fear.
Those three eyes see all and know all, for you cannot hide.
She gives you a crouched meow that breaks the silence of all but the wind.
Her tail waves and winds, appearing like that of nine.
Then you shall hear her voice as she calls~

You claw, you chase — a fool tied to fate.
You stare down the halls of my dark maw, fingers clasping air.
I dine on crows and lullabies, the forgotten and the loved;
You try to run but cannot hide.

Name me, child — who am I?
